Queensland Rugby League

The Queensland Rugby League (QRL) is the governing body for the game of rugby league in Queensland. The QRL contributes to the development of talented players and provides participation pathways for all from the grassroots to elite level. It also manages the Queensland Maroons. Hastings Deering is the naming rights sponsor of the QRL under 20's competition "The Hastings Deering Colts".  As the biggest employer in many regional towns and with a similar footprint to the Under 20's team locations, this partnership allows Hastings Deering to support our local communities.

Brisbane Lions

Brisbane Lions AFLW

Hastings Deering is proud to partner with the Brisbane Lions Australian Rules Football League for Women (AFLW) team. Like Hastings Deering, many players in the Brisbane Lions women's team come from diverse Queensland locations and backgrounds. Hastings Deering is committed to supporting gender equality and diversity. As a business, we are dedicated to developing pathways to build, and increase, female participation within the community and our industry.

Clontarf Foundation

The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and by doing so equips them to participate more meaningfully in society. The Clontarf Foundation commenced in 2000 with a single academy located at the Clontarf Aboriginal College in Waterford, WA. The programme catered for 25 students and was operated by two staff members, including founder and current CEO Gerard Neesham. 19 years on, the Foundation operates 119 academies in WA, NT, QLD, NSW, VIC and SA, supports more than 9,000 participants and employees over 428 dedicated staff members.

Hastings Deering partners with the Clontarf Foundation to introduce students to the fundamentals of working in the industry and give an overview of life in the Heavy Diesel Field.
